Sarkari Photo

About Sarkari Photo

Every year, millions of students across India apply for SSC, UPSC, banking, railway, police and state PSC exams. Almost every application gets stuck on the same small, frustrating step: resizing a photo and signature to the exact pixel size and file size the portal will accept.

Sarkari Photo was built to solve that one problem properly. Instead of a generic image resizer, each exam page knows that exam's actual requirements: exact dimensions, the allowed file-size range, and special rules such as a name-and-date stamp or a live-capture-only photo.

What we offer

We currently cover 14 exams across 9 categories, plus general-purpose tools:

Private by design

Everything runs in your browser. There's no account and no upload, and no server ever sees your photo. Cropping, compression, and signature cleanup all happen on your own device. We built it this way because a tool that handles your ID photo shouldn't ask you to trust a server with it. Read our Privacy Policy for details.

How we verify exam specifications

Exam requirements come from each exam's official notification wherever possible, and are cross-checked against other public references. Every exam page shows a "last verified" date and a note on the source, so you can judge how current it is. Exam bodies change their rules between cycles, so always confirm against your exam's latest official notification before you submit.

Found a specification that's out of date? Tell us, ideally with a link to the official notice, and we'll correct it.

Free, and how we keep it that way

Sarkari Photo is free to use and supported by advertising. Ads never affect the tools or the specifications we publish.

Independent

Sarkari Photo is an independent project and is not affiliated with SSC, UPSC, IBPS, NTA, any railway or police recruitment board, any Public Service Commission, or any other government body. See our Disclaimer.
